Tapping Fee Increase

The NSTMA Board of Directors recently voted to increase Tapping Fees for the first time since 2005 in accordance with a Capital Charges Study conducted by the Authority's engineering firm. These fees, which are applicable to new construction in the township, will become effective as of June 21, 2022.

2022 Rates

Through careful analysis of our budget for 2022 and projected future costs, NSTMA will be increasing sewer rates from $11.17 to $12.30 per thousand gallons of water usage, effective January 1, 2022. Since we bill quarterly, you will not see the rate increase reflected on your sewer bill until April 2022. This rate includes both the portion charged by the Canonsburg-Houston Joint Authority (CHJA) and that charged by NSTMA. Please note that this is the first increase of the NSTMA portion of the sewage bill since 2017.
